Our True Infinite Self informs us that we can take the wisdom that we have been gifted from any experience and now move on with much greater awareness and knowledge than we ever had before. So a person who felt rejected for example can now look at a situation and change their perceptions to cater for a more positive reality. They may see that the experience has actually made them stronger as it has reflected an insecurity within them that needed healing anyway. This is the essence of the saying “if it doesn’t kill you, it makes you stronger.” There is much to be learned from loss as well as gain.
The Ego’s beliefs of separation, limitation and power struggles exist because the Ego is ultimately ignorant. The Ego is ignorant of true reality. Ignorance is simply a place where wisdom has yet to reach.
Our untamed Ego tells us to feel guilty, jealous, angry, inferior, superior – all because of its base belief that we are separate. It believes we have to source our power externally in order to make up for the scarcity in the world. Its belief that we are separate and finite blinds it to the fact that we can source infinite power from within ourselves. It also blinds it to the fact that love is more powerful and beneficial than fear. When you truly accept the interconnectedness of all, you realise that not only is it irrational to gain power from outside but that you are home to a power far greater than you could possibly imagine. You are All That Is.
Once we connect deep within ourselves we can access all the power we ever need and an infinite times more than we can extrapolate from another being. For all attachments, manipulations are essentially power games, brought on by the Ego due to fear of the lack of power (lack of Love). By listening to the philosophies of our True Self, we align with the infinite possibilities that are available and our freedom blossoms. Ultimately, when we are happy with what we have ourselves, then anything that happens around us cannot hurt us in anyway.
As soon as we love ourselves internally and are happy, our external world mirrors this state of being through the Laws of Attraction and Reflection. This is where our abundance lies.
We can now see how our Ego can seriously limit our manifestations and our path to limitless abundance.
However, remember that we are here to balance and love all aspects of our Self, for we are All That Is.
In this respect, it is time we re-evaluate how we view everything.
Liberating the Inner Child
The Earth is a playground for infinite beings to experience finite existence under a veil of forgetfulness. Since an infinite being cannot in reality live finitely, the physical plane of existence serves as an illusion – a dream, created where GOD/GODDESS-the-infinite can experience life as GOD/GODDESS-the-finite.
The Ego represents GOD/GODDESS-the-finite, the physical manifestation of Spirit. It is the physical aspect of your Divine Self.
The Ego’s base belief is that each and every being is separate. This principle allows the Ego to uphold, and believe itself, the illusion that GOD/GODDESS is finite.
By experiencing separation ("that which we are not" through our Ego), we suffer. As we learn and understand what that suffering means, we come closer to understanding "that which we are" (our True Divine Infinite Self). This process is spiritual enlightenment / growth.
As a result of being finite, with a beginning and an end, the Ego naturally believes that there is a limited amount of everything in the world. The Ego believes the world is plagued by scarcity. What has been called the True Infinite Self (GOD/GODDESS-the-infinite). The True Infinite Self holds knowledge of the infinite and interconnected nature of all things and therefore knows the world is rich with limitless abundance.
The Ego’s beliefs are born out of its illusion of finite existence. In this respect the Ego naturally believes that we each have a limited amount of happiness and that we must secure our happiness or increase our happiness from externalities. The Ego believes therefore that we have to look outside to be happy, meaning that we source our power externally – through other people, places, situations.
As we can see the Ego uses fear as its primary philosophy. This is because the Ego is ultimately ignorant – it is ignorant of the true reality. Fear represents ignorance and this is why the Ego and Fear walk hand in hand.
Consequently, the Ego’s power struggle theory is formed immediately upon entering the physical plane. The Ego stipulates that out of every situation, there is a winner and a loser. Even in loving relationships, an untamed Ego will ensure that its recipient is always the winner of any argument or any situation where power is involved. The most apparent problem with this philosophy is that it leaves someone feeling rejected and someone else feeling temporarily uplifted at the expense of another. It is temporary until they find their next ‘fix’ of power and since their power is based on externalities, it is therefore subject to change. Spirituality, which is aligned with the philosophies of our True Infinite Self, tells us that there is a win/win outcome to every situation, since true infinite power lies within us, something that can never change.
Spirituality (the philosophies of our True Infinite Self), teaches us that there is a winner to every single situation. Every single person has something to teach another when they interact – Every Master is another’s student and vice versa.
New Paradigm (Oneness) Evaluation of the Ego
If we see our Ego as something we need to suppress or ignore then in reality we are ignoring a part of ourselves, a crucial part of ourselves for that matter. This is because:
The Ego is a part of us!
It is the Divine physical representation of our Greater Self. So it is time to re-evaluate how we view the Ego and challenge its historic perception.
Consequently, we realise that our Ego is a hurt and pained part of us, like a child. When each soul incarnates, it enters a world rich with diversity and opportunity. Yet this plane also heralds suffering. As an individual grows up in this world and experiences the pains and sufferings of childhood, adolescence and adulthood, they form sets of beliefs and barriers to protect themselves against harm. This process, well documented in psychology, is necessary and instinctive for a person’s subconscious mind to form these beliefs, theories and barriers to avoid future pain. This is in effect the Ego (GOD/GODDESS-the-finite) reacting to the outside world (or the Ego forming itself). Our Ego responds to the situations it is faced and reacts by developing barriers and beliefs. Sufferings that we endure during childhood and adolescence define the sets of beliefs, theories and barriers that the subconscious mind develops and holds onto. The Ego responds to the pains that we experience using an instinctive survival-based drive to ensure that we do not re-experience that same pain. This process is essential for ensuring our survival. It is very similar to putting an innocent child into a rough neighbourhood and telling him/her to grow up on their own. The child grows up very quickly by learning from its experiences and ‘staying out of trouble’ by avoiding similar experiences. This is essential for the child’s survival.
This is a metaphor of our relationship with our Ego. The rough neighbourhood is very similar to the Earth plane where the Ego is our Inner Child
Our Inner Child, on faced with physical reality, responds to the situations it is faced with and formulates a series of theories and beliefs. It is essential that these beliefs and theories are formulated near the beginning, to protect us from emotional and physical pain. The beliefs and theories are generally fear-based because of societal and parental conditioning as well as the Ego/Inner Child’s base belief of separation.
With this new perspective, we can now see that the Ego and the Inner Child are exactly the same! They are interchangeable, for they both represent GOD/GODDESS-the-finite. It is duality that makes them seem separate to us. Old paradigm spirituality teaches us to separate ourselves from our Ego, and to see it as negative. Everything is a part of You! And everything is Perfect. Everything has its part to play in this grand Scheme. The Ego and the Inner Child are polar opposites of each other, so in reality they are the one and the same. By healing our Ego we allow it to merge with the Inner Child and we have our Ego/Inner Child balanced.
So here we view our Ego in a completely different light. As we begin to see our Ego as our Inner Child in pain, we understand its trauma. The Ego reflects the Inner Child’s Dark side, its shadow. Therefore, we use Light and compassion to heal it.
So, in reality, we are healing ourselves! By re-evaluating the Ego, we better understand how crucial it is for us to love all parts of ourselves. You recognise how vitally important it is to treat your-self well, as a child – to nurture and love and respect. These parts of you in pain and require your love and attention. As you heal your Ego, you balance your Ego/Inner Child and are therefore healing yourself.
Love all parts of your-Self. You are beautiful. You are Perfect. You are Divine.
