Recognise Your Power

We are responsible for the world around us both through our actions and our inactions. Every single choice you make has infinite repercussions throughout eternity. As you live your day, you may feel like you have no effect on those halfway across the world. You may feel that events occurring in countries you don't even know the capital of have no relation to your life. You may feel that your life is complicated enough without the need to worry about those you've never met. However, the entire world is connected in so many ways to you.

What is largely unknown is the realisation that each person is constantly creating the world before them - through their daily choices, actions and interactions. The planet is a co-creation of each of our individual creations, therefore we are each responsible for the world before us. We have become so conditioned to live our daily, separate lives that we have forgotten to think logically about what our daily actions lead to.

LIGHTHOUSE - SHINE THAT LIGHT

As a Lighthouse, your power lies in spreading your Light. The Power of one person is all that is needed. In a storm, just one Lighthouse is needed to steer the ships through the stormy seas. This is your power

The power that you harness as an individual is incredible. It is time to go back to school - it is time to release the conditioning informing you that you have insignificant power. Instead, you are able to move mountains with your intention and to save many lives with the tiniest of your daily actions.

As you live consciously with active intent, you create powerful waves all around you. These waves travel endlessly to reach the ends of the ocean and they return!

It is time to take your power back, to recognise that You as an individual are a powerful dynamo, ready for directing supreme power in whatever area you decide to focus on.

Wake Up Warriors, your time for change has come.

Do You Live in an Oligarchy?

Spiritual Activism

Democracy [ Greek: demos (people) karatos (rule) ]
rule by the people. Power lies with the people

Oligarchy [ Greek: oligo (few) arkhos (rule) ]
a form of government where most or all political power effectively rests with a small segment of society

In our times, as the people elect their leaders - these leaders immediately become placed above those who have elected them, those they are supposed to work for. This is because our ideology and practice of democracy is still in its infancy.

Our current system allows a small group of individuals to amass great power over the populace. The individuals who are elected suddenly find themselves within a tight community, within "political circles". These circles of power are centralised and as a result an elite is immediately formed.

This is not a conspiracy but a reflection of our primitive manifestation of what democracy is. Those in the elite (those in government) believe they are in the best position to make decisions for the Whole (the people). Yet who is this elite but ordinary individuals who have been elected?

Due to centralisation and hierarchy, the elected are quite distant from the people that elected them resulting in them becoming less and less responsible and accountable for their decisions. Subsequently, the people are seen as the unruly masses that need to be controlled and looked after - much as a shepherd herds his sheep. Ultimately, the needs of the few eclipse the needs of the many - leading to a situation where the people's needs are obviously not being met. Here the only power that the people have comes during the times of election.

A true democracy would engage the people in all parts of politics. A true democratic process would actively encourage the participation of the populace. A true democracy recognises that it is the masses that should harbour the power, not the few. For through individual power, the masses as a whole serve each other.

However, what is crucial is the recognition that it is the people who always have the power! It is the people that allow any situation to occur, whether it be a political structure or a societal norm. Any government or structure stands on the shoulders of its people. If the people are asleep then the governments and structures can act as they wish. However, if the people shift, then so does the government! This is the Power of the People!

"Be the Change
you want to see in the World"
Ghandi

What we must recognise on a daily level is that it is both our actions as well as our inactions that lead to the current state of our society and of course the planet. If we harbour apathy about the political process and our place in it then it allows for the abuse of our power and ultimately we give our power away to governments and institutions. However, if we do this - if we decide to refrain from the political process - then it is vitally important that we realise that having given away our power, we are responsible for every decision and action that our government makes.

It is time to recognise that you have power every single day of your lives to make a difference. There are ways to change policies but you have simply been taught that you can't make a difference. Despite the current system being a poor reflection of true democracy, there are still powerful tools you can use to change policies and the very nature of democracy into a much more evolved one.

It is time to take your power back and to wield it in all parts of your life. You can make a difference, you can create change. How? By being the change you desire in this world, you create that change around you, you literally change the very fabric of reality to accommodate your level of thinking. This will attract and magnify all those who think on a similar level to you. And there are millions who think like you.

Change is what propels any society through barriers to freedom, for it is only change that challenges stagnation. And what is stagnation but a step behind evolution and progression. By challenging what we see around us as well as crucially allowing ourselves to be challenged do we allow ourselves to grow as both individuals and as a species.

Creating change in our personal lives is what makes us happy, for it allows us to experience new things and thus be open to newer things. When we look out into the world and see things that we don't like, then it is within our power to change that.

Living by example is the most powerful way to create change in this world. What we must each realise is that by allowing change into our lives, we allow ourselves to grow - and this is the path to happiness.

Tear down the walls of illusion.

Take Your Power Back

To change the world around us there are key principles to adhere to a compassionate framework. Remember, recognise your power. Live pro-actively as opposed to passively, as you recognise that every single one of your actions has repercussions. Remembering that you are here to interact with others, so act consciously! Use your compassionate knowledge for constant positive change, for yourself and others. Unity is realised through wisdom and awareness:

KALEIDOSCOPE VISION

Understanding that everything we see is a result of our own perceptions. Thus we are each looking at the world through "distorted eyes", perceiving the world through our own set of filters - fears, insecurities, loves, hates, desires, wants. This a crucial point for it shows us that everything is subject to our own judgments. Our Kaleidoscope vision makes us see what we want to see unless we are willing to collaborate with others and use compassion to lift our awareness to see more of the whole truth - i.e. by working on ourselves, alleviating our own insecurities and by recognising that we even have insecurities allows us to see what is really going on in the world.

NON-POLARISATION

Evolving from an 'us against them' mentality and moving towards understanding of both 'sides'. Polarity only segregates one group from another and will forever create an enemy. Compassion sees the light in both sides, so both sides must first be recognised and then understood to move towards the realisation of a third path - that which allows for all. Also if you disagree with the beliefs of another, it doesn't mean that yours or theirs is right. This is more polarisation. More evolved truths allow for the truths of others and do not oppress any other people's truths with its own. If you believe in something it is your birthright to express it, providing it doesn't infringe on others.

RELEASE OF FEAR

Realisation that fear is never a productive asset. Fear limits, it holds us back, it segregates and creates an enemy. Fear represents ignorance, that is why we fear - because we don't understand. When we fear an 'enemy', whoever that may be, it represents our ignorance of why that individual or group or nation acts in that manner. Awareness of why our 'enemy' acts in the way they do, allows us to understand their cause - gifting us with the path to relating to them on a fundamental level.

OWN YOUR REALITY

Accept the pain in the world, for it is a collective manifestation of all souls on the planet, including yourself. Just as if we shy away from pain in our own lives, we repress it further. The Darkness that exists in the world is a reflection of the Darkness within us all. If we hide away from it, this Darkness can never be healed and will forever be played out for others to experience. See the Darkness not as a hopeless arena where millions are suffering but instead as a place where you can relate through your own inner Darkness. Thus there is meaning to the Darkness, it has the ability to be transformed into incredible purpose. Accept all the world as your own. When you own your personal and global reality, you accept everything and then move towards changing all that you see.

PRAYER

Prayer is one of the most powerful tools you have. When you pray, you connect with the Divine within and are therefore connected to all living things. Remember when we pray we are not begging in the traditional sense, instead we are accessing our infinite creative power and also asking the Universe to focus energy and direct it towards a person, or place or scenario. It is this vortex of energy that serves to help others and yourself in ways you can only imagine, for it is occurring on levels that are out of your range of perception. As you direct your power, your love towards others or places or situations, you envelop those targets and thus revitalise them with the power of Source. Relax into the knowing that this process is extremely important and tremendously helpful.

VICTIM TRAP

Recognising that by labelling an individual or group of people as victims does not serve them. Instead it traps them into a state of being where they are powerless. For a victim is one that is powerless against an 'outside' force. This also prevents many of us from perceiving those that suffer as 'needing our help'. Instead, we recognise that all people have the power within, they just need to access it. Ironically it is always the victims that have the most power to change a situation. Our 'help' can be in guiding others to recognise this, so that eventually they will not need any 'outside' help in order to proceed to take back control of their lives. This again prevents sympathy of those that are suffering.

INTERCONNECTEDNESS

Recognising that the entire world is a complex web of individual choices that lead to a global chain of events. Realising that every choice we make, every action we take has powerful consequences for the rest of humanity. Whilst it may seem small, with each bite, each item we purchase, each car we drive and so on - fuels the chain of peoples' labour that have brought us our food, our items, our cars. Thus we are each responsible for the political, economical and social climates of those people within those chains - even if they are on the other side of the planet. If our purchases, our choices drive their systems - then we must take responsibility for it.

SERVING THE SELF THROUGH SERVING OTHERS

When we serve others, we are also serving ourselves. This is not a selfish concept, for our relationship to others depends upon our relationship to ourselves. An individual who has no inward perception and believes they are serving others selflessly often helps through sympathy - however sympathy serves no-one! Sympathy asks for appreciation and gratuity in return and claims another is a victim just like the the one offering the sympathy. Compassion recognises the strength of all, including those that are suffering. Also remember that when we give to others, we receive in many ways - including learning from those who are assisting - we each have something to learn from another. So we move away from being someone's saviour to being someone's guide, as they guide us and teach us about their life. When we realise this truth, we allow ourselves to recognise that in reality there is no such thing as selfless service, for all service serves also the Self! Respect and serve yourself, only then can only respect and serve others.

SEVEN GENERATIONS

The ancients held a philosophy of always thinking seven generations ahead. Here every action one makes is considered in terms of how it may affect future descendants seven generations later. This level of responsibility is the strength of any progressive society because it is one that takes full responsibility for every action. We live in a society where we think, at best, in terms of our own life and generation and have thus treated the planet in such a way that seven generations later, it may very well become unliveable for our children. By adopting this timeless philosophy, we can create change, not just for ourselves but for the entire future of the planet and her people.
